Is “You Don’t Know JS” Good for Beginners?
If you're just beginning to learn JavaScript, many people will recommend the book series "You Don't Know JS" by Kyle Simpson.
I have personally learned a lot from these books, but I think the content is more beneficial if you've already made some mistakes while working with JavaScript. If you haven't made those mistakes yet, the books might not be as effective in enhancing your learning.
My suggestion would be to start with something like The Odin Project or FreeCodeCamp which covers the basics of the language and allows for hands-on practice. Once you're comfortable with the fundamentals, you can dive into this book.
"You Don't Know JS" is the kind of series that you can revisit multiple times, and each time you'll discover something new. It truly becomes a JavaScript developer's best friend.
