What to Expect in Non-DSA Interviews as a Web Developer
In this article, I want to talk about the kinds of questions you might face in an interview that's not focused on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).
First off, you'll likely chat with HR to see if you're a good fit for the company culture and if you meet the basic job requirements.
Then, you'll have either in-person or virtual interviews where you'll discuss your past experience. It's really important here to talk about what's on your resume and explain how it all ties together. You need to show that you truly understand the work you've done.
You'll probably also face a bunch of behavioral questions. These are pretty common ones like "Tell me about a time when you had a tough situation with a colleague." You should definitely be ready to answer these kinds of questions.
Lastly, some interviews might include a take-home assignment. Unlike live coding sessions, you'll have the chance to work on a technical problem at home, with a few days to solve it. Plus, you can use resources like Google. It's a less stressful way to showcase your skills compared to whiteboarding in front of interviewers.
